What is a session? A session is one connected WhatsApp number. Each session sends and receives independently, and you manage all of them from a single dashboard. Your plan sets how many sessions you can run at once.
Do I need Meta or WhatsApp Business API approval? No. WaHttp connects through the WhatsApp Web protocol, not the official Business API, so there's no application to file and no waiting on approval. Sign up, scan a QR code, and start sending.
Can I still use WhatsApp on my phone? Yes. Your phone stays fully connected. The session runs alongside it the same way WhatsApp Web does, so you can keep chatting on your handset while WaHttp handles API traffic.
Is there a risk of being banned? Any third-party tool carries some risk, and no provider can honestly promise zero bans. What we can do is lower the odds: the Smart Queue paces your outgoing messages to stay inside WhatsApp's limits, and new numbers get a warm-up plan to build up sending volume gradually.
How does the Smart Queue work? Instead of firing every message at once, the queue spreads them out over time and keeps you under WhatsApp's hourly and daily thresholds. You set a rate per session and the queue handles the pacing, so you don't have to build throttling logic yourself.
How many numbers can I connect? It depends on your plan. Starter includes 1 session, Growth 3, Business 6, and Agency 10. Enterprise runs unlimited sessions on a dedicated deployment.
What happens if a session disconnects? The system notices and tries to reconnect on its own. You get an alert, and you can re-scan the QR code from your dashboard whenever you need to. Anything you send while a session is down waits safely in the queue.
Are messages really unlimited? On every paid plan, yes, with no per-message fees. The free trial caps you at 100 messages a day for 24 hours so you can test properly before paying.
What types of messages can I send?
Text, images, video, audio, and documents, to individual contacts or to groups. Media goes through the same endpoint as text; you just change the message type. Incoming group messages arrive through your webhooks with isGroup set to true.
How do I connect Claude or another AI agent?
WaHttp exposes a Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint at https://app.wahttp.com/mcp. Create an API key, send it as a Bearer token, and point any MCP client at that URL, whether that's Claude, Cursor, or your own agent.
Which webhook events can I subscribe to?
For messages: message.received, message.sent, message.ack, message.failed, message.revoked, and message.reaction. For connection state: session.status, session.qr, session.authenticated, and session.disconnected. Payloads are JSON, retried on failure, and can be signed with a secret so you can verify they came from us.
How is my data protected? Everything is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3, and session credentials and API keys are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is restricted, and API keys are scoped by role so you can limit what each integration can do and revoke any one of them on its own. Our Privacy Policy covers retention periods and your data rights in full.
What payment methods do you accept? All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through a secure payment processor. Enterprise customers can also pay by bank transfer or invoice.
